A Fully Documentary Approach, Rooted in Presence.
Most couples opt to have a portrait session, and planned moments where we do a bit of direction and organizing– but that isn’t required. We also offer a completely journalistic approach to wedding photography. This concept isn’t new—if anything, it’s refreshingly old-school. Long before Pinterest boards, styled flat lays, and trending “must-have” shots, couples were simply allowed to feel their wedding day. We’re getting back to that. No faking a moment, either.
We take a hands-off, fully documentary approach when couples want that. That means no organizing or posing, no performance for the camera—just real, unscripted moments captured as they naturally unfold. Natural. Emotional. Candid. Those are the words couples use again and again to describe our work, and honestly, we wouldn’t want it any other way.
Our only ask? Be present. Not for the camera—just for each other. That presence is where the real magic lives. The kind of magic that makes you feel something years later. This isn’t just about photos. It’s about the truth of the day.
Just let it be.
How to Prepare for a Documentary Wedding Experience:
Let go of expectations.
Step away from Pinterest. Close the tabs. Forget the “must-have” list. Your day will be entirely your own—and that’s exactly what makes it beautiful.
Be a free spirit.
The less you think about what you’re supposed to do, the more you'll do what feels right. That’s what we’re here to capture.
Un-pose yourself.
You’ll feel that itch to “look good” as soon as the camera’s out. Ignore it. Shake it off. Just exist. Just love. That’s enough.
Feel everything.
Cry, laugh, melt into each other. Let your emotions show—they’re the most powerful part of your story.
Stay mindful.
We’ll be there, quietly watching. But don’t worry about the lens—focus on the moment. We’ve got the rest.
Embrace imperfection.
Something will go “off plan.” Let it. The imperfect parts often make the best memories. Keep your heart on what matters most.
About Portraits—Totally Your Call
You can absolutely carve out time on your wedding day for portraits—just the two of you, with your people, or all of the above. That part’s your call.
But if you’d rather not step away from the celebration (we get it), we love doing a portrait session after the wedding. No timeline. No pressure. Just the two of you on a random beautiful day, soaking in the glow with no rush.
And honestly? Portraits don’t have to be wedding-related at all. We highly recommend documenting your real-life love too—whether that’s pre-wedding or way after. No fancy outfits required. Just the everyday magic of being together.
Let it be yours. Let it be real. We'll meet you there.
